The Calvin Christian Squires opened conference play against the Belding Highschool Black Knights at home on Monday 12/11. The Calvin Christian Squires came out full of energy in the first Baker game against the Black Knights but struggled to convert that energy into consistency on the freshly oiled the lanes and lost the first baker 92-136. The Squires rebounded in the second baker but still couldn't muster up enough pins to beat the Black Knights falling 124-148 in match two.

Luck was not on the side of the Squires in the individual matches against the Black Knights. Nathan Bakhuyzen scored the only point for the Squires in game 1 beating his opponent 156-142. Overall, the Black Knights took Game 1 792-642 in total pin count.

The Squires fought back and made Game 2 much more competitive. Caleb Ritsema, Brandon Tavera and Nathan Bakhuyzen took 3 out of 5 points in the head vs head category in Game 2. The Squires still couldn't pull out the total pins victory in Game 2 falling 723-674. Nate Bakhuyzen scored a team high score of 155 in Game 2. In Summary, the Calvin Christian Squires fell 26-4 against the Belding Black Knights.

The Squires look to rebound as they travel on the road on Wednesday December 13 to take on the Comstock Park Panthers at 3:30pm at West Gate Bowling in Comstock Park.
