2026 Spring Tryout/Practice Information Spring sports are right around the corner, and we are looking forward to a great season! Here is a checklist from the Athletic Office that might be helpful for you to ensure your athlete is ready for tryouts on March 9. Please feel free to reach out to our Athletic Director, Tom Bouma, at tbouma@gccsmi.org or Linda Eisma, at leisma@gccsmi.org if you have any questions. Athlete Checklist! Get a Physical: Your physical must be dated after April 15, 2025, and turned into the Athletic Office before your athlete's tryout on March 9, or they will not be able to participate on that day. Both sides of the physical form must be completed including all signatures before the physical will be accepted. You may turn in the physical to the Main Office, Athletic Office or scan the physical to Linda Eisma at leisma@gccsmi.org. Pay your $100 "Pay to Participate" Fee to the Business Office

Winter Sports are right around the corner! Squire Athletes, be sure you have your sports physical on file in the Athletic Office before the first day of tryouts/practice - You may not participate without one! The Pay to Participate fee is $100. This may be paid in the Business Office or online at gosquires.org. If you are a freshman playing your first sport this year or a new athlete at Calvin Christian, you must also turn in your Consent to Treat Form, Concession Awareness Form, and the Transportation Permission Form to the Athletic Office. Monday 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Tuesday 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Wednesday 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. Thursday 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. and 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Friday 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Saturday 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. These are the opportunities available for free lifting in our Strength & Conditioning Facility. Seniors, the online MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award program is open for applications. The deadline is December 5, 2025, at 4:00. See the information below to submit your application. If you have any questions about this scholarship ask Mr. Bouma. NFHS Subscription Network

The Athletic Boosters bought Calvin Christian a Pixelot camera system that allows us to be a part of the National Federation of High Schools network. The NFHS network streams live athletics on demand. All of our home basketball and volleyball games will be available along with any special events that happen in our gym. The NFHS is a subscription network and Calvin will receive a portion of the monies paid when you subscribe with our school.
The subscription gives you access to any live event on their site, as well as thousands of past events from around the United States. This may be a perfect fit for grandparents or others that cannot get to the gym to see Calvin teams play. Other local schools who have cameras and are on the network include Grand Rapids Christian, Kalamazoo Christian and NorthPointe Christian. A yearly pass is $69.99 and a monthly pass is $10.99.
