UNITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 48
Thursday night's game versus Unity Christian was a hard fought battle but Unity used a strong third quarter to pull out a 48-28 win. Calvin Christian led 8 - 6 after the first quarter, trailed by two at halftime 17-15. In the third quarter the shots did not fall and the defense lapsed on top of too many turnovers as Unity went on a 17 -1 run. The fourth quarter was a very even contest as we were outscored 14-12. Unfortunately the team needed four strong quarters to stay with the quicker Crusaders.
Calvin Christian was led in scoring by Hanna Kroeze with 11, Kiaya DeHaan had 7, Courtney Ilbrink had 4 while both Lizzie Vos and Ellie Kosiara had 3 a piece.
Next up, the Lady Squires travel to Grandville High School on Thursday 12/13 at 6:30 following the Freshmen Girls who play at 5 PM. We hope to see you there to support your Lady Squires!
