Calvin lost a close one to Unity Chr on Friday. The Squires received excellent pitching from both Blake Pettijohn and Jake Versluis. After Unity Chr scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning,the Squires scored one run in the top of the 6th inning. Charlie Zoet had an RBI single that scored Jake Versluis to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Squires threatened to score again in the top of the 7th but stranded a runner on 2nd base. Final score = Unity Chr 2 Calvin Chr 1.
