NFHS Subscription Network

  The Athletic Boosters bought Calvin Christian a Pixelot camera system that allows us to be a part of the National Federation of High Schools network. The NFHS network streams live athletics on demand.  All of our home basketball and volleyball games will be available along with any special events that happen in our gym. The NFHS is a subscription network and Calvin will receive a portion of the monies paid when you subscribe with our school.  The subscription gives you access to any live event on their site, as well as thousands of past events from around the United States. This may be a perfect fit for grandparents or others that cannot get to the gym to see Calvin teams play. Other local schools who have cameras and are on the network include Grand Rapids Christian, Kalamazoo Christian and NorthPointe Christian. A yearly pass is $69.99 and a monthly pass is $10.99. Spring Tournament Information

Calvin Christian had a lot to celebrate last week!  Our Soccer team won a District Championship, our Softball team won a District Championship, our Golf team won a Regional Championship and six of our Track & Field athletes competed at the State Finals with five athletes achieving All State Honors!  The baseball team is finishing up their District Final game today at Covenant at 4 p.m.  Here is what you need to know to keep cheering on your Squires! Baseball June 3:  Baseball District Finals at Covenant @ 4 p.m. - There will be no charge for this game.  The game will begin in the top of the 2nd Inning with a score of 1-1. June 5:  Baseball Regionals at Saranac @ 4:30 p.m.  Tickets on gofan.co  Regional Finals will be held on Saturday, June 8 at Rockford High School @ 12:30.  The winner will then play in the State Quarter Final that same day at 3 p.m. Soccer: June 4:  Soccer Regionals at Portage Northern

The Lady Squires were led by Mikayla Oosterheert with 5pts, followed by Anika Mulder, Gabriella Hain and Makenna Olsen with 4pts each and Avery Netz with 2pts.

Team was led by Ava Bylsma scoring 5pts, followed by Anika Mulder, Makenna Olsen, Gabriella Hain and Chloe Berg all scoring 2pts each.

Gabriella Hain led the team with 7pts. Ava Bylsma and Makenna Olsen with 6pts each followed by Mikayla Oosterheert with 5pts, Anika Mulder 2pts and Chloe Berg with 1pt. 

Girls Freshman Basketball vs. East Kentwood High School

Makenna Olsen led the team with 4pts, followed by Avery Netz, Mikayla Oosterheert, Ava Bylsma with 3pts each. Anika Mulder and Gabriella Hain both scored 2pts and Chloe Berg with 1pt. 

Girls Freshman Basketball vs. NorthPointe Christian School

Chloe Berg led the team with 6pts followed by Mirta Pettijohn 5pts, Brooke Pachulski 3pts, Avery Netz 2pts and Mikayla Oosterheert 1pt. 

Girls Freshman Basketball vs. Hamilton Community Schools

Mikayla Oosterheert led the team with 12pts , followed by Gabriella Hain 11pts, Makenna Olsen 8pts, Ava Bylsma 4pts, Anika Mulder 2pts and Chloe Berg 1pt. 

Girls Freshman Basketball vs. Holland Christian High School

In a challenging matchup against the powerhouse Holland Christian Maroons, the Lady Squires fought hard but came up short. Despite the loss, Gabriella Hain and Makenna Olsen were standout performers, each contributing 4 points to the team's effort. Ava Bylsma also made her mark, adding 2 points to the scoreboard. The Lady Squires showed resilience and determination, battling fiercely against one of the top teams in the league.

Girls Freshman Basketball vs. Unity Christian High School

  On a snowy day full of energy, the Freshman Lady Squires fought hard but fell just short against the Unity Christian Crusaders, with a final score of 28–10. Despite the chilly conditions, the Squires showcased their determination, led by Makenna Olsen with 6 points, Gabriella Hain with 2, and Mikayla Oosterheert adding another 2 points. Though the scoreboard didn’t swing in their favor, the team displayed grit and resilience, battling every second of the game! The Squires will take this experience to grow and be ready for the next challenge ahead. 

Girls Freshman Basketball vs. Grand Haven High School

In their season opener, the Freshman Lady Squires faced a tough challenge against the Grand Haven Buccaneers, ultimately falling 38-13. Despite the loss, the Lady Squires showcased remarkable resilience and determination on the court. Leading the charge was Makenna Olsen with 5 points, while Gabriella Hain, Mikayla Oosterheert, Kayleigh Caterino, and Lynda Akeza each contributed 2 points, demonstrating a well-rounded team effort. The Lady Squires fought hard against a formidable opponent, and this game marks a strong foundation for growth and development as they look ahead to the rest of the season. Their tenacity and teamwork are sure to propel them forward as they continue to improve.

Girls Freshman Basketball vs. Covenant Christian High School

In a thrilling back-and-forth battle, the Calvin Christian Lady Squires' freshman team fought valiantly for 3 1/2 quarters, holding a strong lead against the Covenant Christian Chargers. With every possession brimming with intensity, the Lady Squires appeared poised to clinch victory. Chloe Berg led the charge with 8 points, while Gabriella Hain, MaKenna Olsen, Mikayla Oosteheert, and Avery Nets each contributed crucial baskets to keep the momentum swinging their way. However, despite their tenacious effort, the Lady Squires ultimately fell just short, with the Chargers edging them out 26-22 in a heart-pounding finish. The game may have ended in defeat, but the Lady Squires’ grit and determination left no doubt that they will be a force to reckon with in future matchups!

The Calvin Christian Lady Squires have just secured their FIRST victory of the season, taking down the Ottawa Hills Bengals with a thrilling 34-21 win! 🎉 Leading the charge was the unstoppable MaKenna Olsen, who put up 10 points, followed by Gabriella Hain with 6 points, Anika Mulder with 5, and Chloe Berg with 4. Mirta Pettijohn added 3 points, while Kaleigh Caterino, Ava Bylsma, and Mikayla Oosteheert each contributed 2 points. Every single player stepped up, showing true teamwork and determination! After a tough, close loss to Covenant Christian, the Lady Squires are beginning to click, and their defensive intensity is what’s propelling them forward. With every game, they’re growing stronger, more unified, and ready to shut down any team that stands in their way. Way to go, Squires! The victories are just beginning, and we can't wait to see what comes next!

Varsity Volleyball Advances to District Finals. The Varsity Volleyball team clinched a 3-0 sweep over Saugatuck High School in the District Semifinals. This victory propels the team into the District Finals on Friday, November 6th, where they will face NorthPointe Christian at 6 PM. Show your support for the Lady Squires as they compete for the District Championship at NorthPointe Christian!

Boys/Girls Varsity Cross Country vs. Multiple Opponents

Our girls finished 22nd out of 27 teams in Division 3 for the Lower Peninsula. Lola Bryce finished in the top 100 (and overall top half of the field) at 88th place. Overall, the team had their best team spread of the season at 1:26.

Boys/Girls Varsity Cross Country vs. Multiple Opponents

Our girls team took 3rd place, qualifying for State Finals! They also had their best team spread of the season at 1:35 and second fastest team time of the season at 1:46:47. Lola Bryce (12th) and Marnath Tuol (14th) were top 15 individual medalists. The guys finished 13th place.

Varsity Volleyball hosted a quad with North Muskegon, Zion Christian and Kenowa Hills. The scores of the sets against North Muskegon were 25-23, 22-25 and 11-15. The scores vs Zion were 25-20 and 25-22. Against Kenowa Hills the set scores were 21-25 and 22-25.
